I was groggy to say the least. My doc had closed the last leg (he does one leg at a time so as he don’t get confused on what goes where) just about 20 minutes ago and I was in post op recovery. I had just had both my knees replaced. I mean I was just waking up from anesthesia.
I am then introduced to 2 visitors, one was the head anesthesiologist and one was a dufus looking dude in a suit. I knew the anesthesiologist and I figured out later that the dufus was a JCAHO rep (Joint Commission of Accredited Health Care Organizations). Hospitals have to submit to inspections from this gestapo-like organization of our government.
Why would this idiot representative of our government come into my private room to interview me? I know I didn’t hallucinate because I confirmed what had happened with the recovery nurse. I guess HIPPA doesn’t apply to government officials.
