From the Texas Department of Public Health COVID-19 tracking site.1
It reported the following as of 7/9/20.
3013 fatalities
122,996 recoveries

Which is a reported case fatality rate of 1.2% compared to the national average that has held steady at about 6% and prior reports from Texas that have been as high as 6%. And, the old Gov’r of Texas was considering closing down the state, restricting immigration (even of US citizens from other states), forcing quarantine, social distancing and the wearing of masks.
Governor Abbot has issues several Executive Orders regarding opening of the state in the face of increased COVID-19 cases (read this with painic in your thoughts. Yes, I know how to spell panic, but we feel the pain).
In the category, the number of Executive Orders are listed
All/General 3
Celebrations & Worship 6
Child Care/Youth 10
General Business & Services 9
Indoor Activities 14
Outdoor Activities 14

Restaurants & Bars 2 but specifies the following for bars; [(All bars and similar establishments that receive more than 51% of their gross receipts from the sale of alcoholic beverages are required to close at 12:00PM June 26, 2020. These businesses may remain open for delivery and take-out, including for alcoholic beverages, as authorized by the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission.)]
Eight categories and 71 sub categories (Executive Orders) of loss of personal freedoms. Freedoms once lost are seldom regained.
