A mom with her 5 kids came in because one had stepped on a sharp object earlier and couldn’t sleep because of the pain.
I ordered something for the pain. When the nurse came in to give it, one of his siblings (about 5-6 y/o) asked, “Why are you putting medicine on his mouth when it’s his foot that hurts?”
I told the nurse, “That’s why you went to 4 years of nursing school, so you could figure out how to answer questions like that.”
